The Defendant was a director of a company.
The company was incorporated under the then Companies Ordinance in August 2016. A winding-up order was made by the High Court against the company in January 2024.
The Defendant was appointed as a director of the company in August 2016.
The Defendant delivered some books and records of the company to the Official Receiver for examination. The Official Receiver’s Office had conducted an examination on them and found that some books and records, including but not limited to general ledgers were missing.
The Defendant, being a director of the company, failed to keep proper books and accounting records of the company for the period from January 2017 to January 2024.
